3rd award in the open international competition
The proposal assumes that a climate and environment museum must be a didactical example of environmental design from the strategy to its final construction.
The site is an abandoned military complex facing the old town of Lleida and the Cathedral. The project modifies the topography of the site to create a continuous promenade from the highest side (where the access will be) to the lowest part (where the natural recycling water pool will be). This modification is made in such a way that the earth and the rests of the obsolete constructions will be relocated in the site and no extra earth will have to be provided. The building is a triangulated roof that covers part of the promenade. The roofs transitions from insulating roof canopy depending on the program demands and collects water and energy for the use of the complex.
